Some interesting stuff I saw at the Museum of Art in Zurich today. I didn't have much time so I didn't get a good sense of the collection, but here are a few paintings that really spoke to me.
Today I went to the Museum of Art in Zurich to look at the famously hideous portrait of Fred Astaire's sister Adele that Austrian expressionist painter Oskar Kokoschka did in 1926, and I tell a little anecdote surrounding this artwork.
On the first Sunday of the month, the Museum of Art in Basel opens its doors for free, so today I went. It's the biggest art collection in Switzerland, and one of the most impressive museums in the world, and I had a good time and came out inspired. Here are a few paintings that had a particularly strong effect on me.
